Nanopac's treatments break down indoor VOCs and other harmful chemicals such as smoke and solvent-based pollutants, remaining active for up to two years.
Air Pollutant Removal
Australians spend over 90% of their lives indoors, exposed to a cocktail of toxic airborne pollutants. Our homes, workplaces and cars leach and trap chemicals off-gassed from building materials, furnishing materials and the products we use in them every day.
Volatile organic compounds (VOCs) such as formaldehyde, polybrominated diphenyl ethers (PBDEs), and phthalic acid esters (phthalates) are known to have significant adverse health impacts. Common health problems including skin irritation; neurotoxic symptoms (including headache, drowsiness and general irritancy); hypersensitivity; and smell/taste symptoms have led to the use of the term "sick building syndrome" (SBS). Long-term effects include cancer, respiratory disease and disruptions to hormonal and reproductive systems.
In the workplace, exposure to toxins directly threatens health, shortens working lives, increases accident rates and reduces productivity. The CSIRO estimates the cost of poor indoor air quality in Australia at around $12 billion annually.

A new car, along with that new car smell is a source of pride, but also a significant source of harmful airborne chemicals. Levels of VOCs, PBDEs and phthalates in new car interiors can be far higher than recommended levels, so it's worth taking steps to protect yourself and your passengers.
Nanopac photocatalyst technology is the most powerful air purification technology for indoor environments. Titanium Dioxide (TiO2) captures UV light and forms activated oxygen. When the activated oxygen comes in contact with biological and chemical pollutants in the air, they are rapidly decomposed into carbon dioxide (CO2) and water (H2O). The TiO2 is not lost in the process; it remains in place breaking down any harmful substances that stick on the surface, addressing the causes at their source.
Improve your NABERS rating
The right of everyone to healthy indoor air is recognised by NABERS and Green Star, national star rating systems that measure the environmental performance of Australian buildings. Nanopac can help you achieve a higher NABERS star rating; increasing the value of your property, making it more attractive to tenants and helping you meet increasingly strict sustainability requirements.
Third Hand Smoke
The dangers of smoking don't end when the smoke clears. Residual chemicals on surfaces, react with common indoor pollutants creating a toxic mix. These carcinogenic compounds are hard to remove and last decades. Nanopac coating purifies the air long after treatment. It breaks down nicotine residue, so it's easier to clean away.
